Rob Ennals

Hi, I’m Rob — a software engineer based in Sunnyvale, California, originally from the UK.

I’m interested in building technology that helps people understand each other and helps society function a little better. Most of my work has focused on search, social platforms, and online trust.

I’m currently a principal engineer at New Public, where I was the founding engineer on the Public Service Incubator, a collaboration with an international consortium of public broadcasters to build a publicly owned, public-interest online space. Earlier in my career, I worked at Google, Quora, Meta, and Intel Research.
